JUSTIN, Texas (KNTU) A 5-touchdown performance from Eaton quarterback Riley Taylor was just part of a solid offensive showing as the Eagles took down the Braswell Bengals 55-0 on Thursday, August 25.

Three of Taylor’s touchdowns came via the ground game, capping off long scoring drives of more than 85 yards each the new Bengals defense couldn’t keep pace with.

The game was also a historic one for both schools; it was the first varsity contest for Braswell and Eaton, though the Eagles fielded a junior varsity team in 2015 that went 9-1. Braswell first met as a team on August 1. The school opened its doors August 22.

The Bengals host the Frisco Independence September 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the C.H. Collins Athletic Complex.
