DENTON, Texas (KNTU) Ryan quarterback and Oklahoma State commit Spencer Sanders threw four touchdown passes in the first quarter, and the Raiders never looked back.

Sanders added one more scoring toss later on during Ryan’s walloping the Sherman Bearcats 57-14 on Friday, Oct. 14.

Running backs Semaj Marshall and Tamar Butts each added nearly 100 yards on the ground of their own in the blowout victory.

Sherman’s normally-strong running game was held under 40 yards for most of the game thanks to stout line play from Ryan’s front seven.

Freshman Xylohn Posey eventually racked up 130 yards on the ground, largely after most of Ryan’s second and third string defensemen were in the game.

The win moved the Raiders to a perfect 7-0 on the season and a 3-0 mark in district 5-5A play. The No. 4 ranked team in 5A travels to Wylie to take on the Pirates on Oct. 21.
