dialogue

Saturday at 5:30 p.m. on KNTU.com / FM 88.1, you get dialogue. A show exploring the world of ideas through weekly, half-hour conversations with renowned public figures, scholars, journalists, and authors.

Since 1988, dialogue has offered listeners informed discussion on important ideas and issues in national and international affairs, history, and culture — providing commentary that goes beyond the superficial analysis presented in many of today's talk shows.

The show is produced by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.

John Milewski began hosting dialogue in 2009, but he is no stranger to the Wilson Center. For eight years, he collaborated with former dialogue host George Liston Seay on a series of programs seen on C-SPAN under the banner Close Up at the Wilson Center. Previously, Milewski hosted Close Up on C-SPAN for 23 years. He is also an instructor at The Pennsylvania State University, vice president of the Wana Initiative on Conflict and Cultural Dialogue, and a documentary filmmaker.

In 2001 dialogue was awarded the Best Long-Form News Interview at the Washington metropolitan area March of Dimes Achievement in Radio (A.I.R.) award ceremony. The program has been an A.I.R. finalist many times over the years. dialogue has twice been awarded finalist status in the prestigious New York Festival's international radio competition.
