DENTON, TX (KNTU) Join us as we celebrate 40 years of broadcasting at KNTU.

Two special events are coming up -- a football tailgating party on Sat., Oct. 17, then a reception and concert on Fri., Nov. 6.

Join us at the KNTU tent we'll have set up in the Mean Green Village outside Fouts Field for the Homecoming game between North Texas and Florida Atlantic. We'll do some live broadcasting on 88.1 while we have a Meet 'n Greet beginning at 12:00 p.m. Then we'll slice up an anniversary cake at 2:00 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. The Green Guys tailgating show will go on the air leading up to the 6:00 p.m. Mean Green Radio Network pregame show. Kickoff of the Homecoming game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Closer to the actual anniversary date we'll have a get together at the Gateway Center on the University of North Texas - Denton campus. Starting at 6:00 p.m., you'll have the chance to talk about old times, meet current KNTU staffers, and enjoy some hors d'oeuvres. At 8:00 p.m., you can enjoy a special One O'Clock Lab Band concert now being led by Steve Wiest.
